    How to Download Windows 8

If you want to try the first beta version of Windows 8, which is available since 15 September 2011, you have two options: Install a virtual machine or install Windows 8 from Windows 7 to dual boot, doing a physical hard disk partition . If you have trouble downloading from a virtual PC would be advisable to make a safe discharge from the dual boot. For this we recommend you follow the steps listed below:

Step 1: While the installation is the same as any Windows operating system, we recommend caution in this step because we need to back up data from the Windows 7 partition or a partition image . This first step is important to ensure that if something goes wrong we can return to the previous functional system without problems.

Step 2: After making the backup we make a new partition of 20 GB hard drive, or at least have 20 GB of free space on the disk partition.

Step 3: Burn the ISO image of Windows Developer Preview DVD or USB drive (in case of our motherboard allows booting from USB), you should have downloaded Windows 8 Developer Preview downloads .

Step 4: Restart your computer and then choose the boot order so that the DVD drive or USB is the first in the list.

Step 5: Then proceed to the installation of Windows 8, which is very similar to Windows 7. Here we choose the partition where you installed the beta version of new operating system, which should be the one we created in step 2. Continue the installation process and wait for it to finish.

Step 6: After installing Windows 8, we will see a window with a menu where you will be asked which operating system you want to boot. We will see that Windows 8 is default to being the last installed on your system, and Windows 7 as secondary OS. If we change the order and that Windows 7 is the default operating system, we click on "Change defaults or choose other options". Within this menu, we select "Choose the default operating system", where we choose Windows 7.

    Tips and advice

Remember to use a high-capacity DVD, as called DVD9 and modern burners that support this format to record or burn the ISO file containing the development tools test version of Windows 8.

After installing the new operating system, do not forget to manually configure Windows 7 or the first system rather than the default Windows 8 which is the default.

As you can see the steps are simple to download the pre-beta version of Windows 8, but you have to consider the recommendations we gave you. I hope that this note was helpful.
