  • I GOT THIS FROM XDA AND IM JUST SHARING IT :)

XperiaTized ROM, a new custom ROM for the Galaxy Ace based on Gingerbread 2.3.7, is themed to look like the Timescape UI from Sony Xperia phones for all the Xperia lovers. It’s got a lot of stuff taken from Xperia phones, like the Xperia S launcher, Xperia widgets, and more which gives you the Timescape look on your Galaxy Ace.

Check out the full list of features below:

        43 Languages
        EXT4 support
        Sony Xperia Widgets
        Sony Xperia S Modded Launcher
        Xperia S Wallpapers
        Xperia Bootanimation
        Xperia lockscreen Mod
        Deodexed and zipaligned
        Amazing Battery life
        DT A2SD support
Extremely fast and also very stable
        Just 80 MB of download

Here’s a list of Samsung apps that have been removed:

FMRadio (Use Resco radio which is good and has more channels )
Swype (Get the better beta version from http://beta.swype.com)
        Samsung Apps
Social Hub (Many alternatives to this on the Market)

Read on to find out to flash XperiaTized ROM on to your Galaxy Ace.

    Compatibility

This guide is applicable only for Samsung’s Galaxy Ace (GT-S5830). Check your phone’s version in Settings – About Phone. It has to be “GT-S5830”  for this procedure to be compatible with your phone. If it’s not GT-S5830, please do not try this.
    Pre-Installation Requirements/Tips:

A rooted Galaxy Ace with Clockworkmod Recovery (CWM) installed.
Installing/flashing this ROM will erase your apps and data. So, it’s a very important you back them up before proceeding further. To backup your apps and important data — bookmarks, contacts, SMS, APNs (internet settings), etc., this Android backup guide would help you. Restore APN settings if Internet isn’t working for you, after installing the rom. Your SD cards will not be erased, so don’t worry about those.
Make sure your Galaxy Ace S5830 is sufficiently charged, at least 50% is recommended.

    Step by Step Installtion Guide:

        Download the XperiaTized ROM file.
         Download From Here
         Download Clockwork Mod From Here
Transfer the ROM’s zip file (do not extract it) that you downloaded above to your phone’s sdcard. Remember the location where you transfer the file.
Power Off your Galaxy Ace. Wait for 5-6 seconds until you feel the vibration to confirm complete switch off.
Then, press and hold these 2 buttons: Home + Power. When the screen turns on and you see the Samsung logo, let go of POWER but keep holding HOME. After the Galaxy Ace logo shows up and disappears, you should enter recovery mode. You can let go of HOME key now.
Using the Volume buttons to scroll up and down, and the Power button to select, select “wipe data/factory reset”, then select “Yes” on the next screen. Wait a while till the data wipe is complete. (this will NOT ERASE your SD card, don’t worry). Also do “Wipe cache” and “Wipe Dalvik cache“.
Now, select “install zip from sdcard”, then select “choose zip from sdcard”, then scroll to the file you transferred in step 2 above and select it. Then select “Yes — Install Xperia Tized.zip”.
The ROM will start installing. After the installation is complete, select “go back” then select “reboot system now” to reboot your phone.
That’s it, the ROM is now installed on your phone and you can enjoy using XperiaTized ROM on your Galaxy Ace. For latest updates, you can follow the original development page of the

[How To] Downgrade Galaxy Ace To 2.3.3 Unofficial

  • Wednesday, December 14, 2011
  • Ric RAT

  • Every Step Is Same As We Did In Other Gingerbread Roms Just Files Are New And They Named Same
Things Needed to Install Gingerbread on Ace

To flash your Ace with new firmware on windows you will require Odin. Then you can search and download the  Flash Files from tsar3000.com. If you are facing problem downloading the file you can also download it from here

    Setting Up Odin

Once these files are downloaded extract the files. Odin is a portable application hence can be brought up with a single click. Remember to take care of files that you are going to put in Odin. Open the firmware folder which you just extracted. You will find 5 files namely:APBOOT_S5830XXKP8_CL143019_REV03_user_mid_false.tar.md5CODE_S5830XXKP8_CL143019_REV03_user_mid_false.tarCooper_v1.0.opsCSC_S5830SERKP8_CL143019_REV03_user_mid_false.tar.md5MODEM_S5830XXKP8_CL143019_REV03.tar.md5Open odin and point OPS, BOOT, Phone, PDA and CSC files from the firmware folder as follows.OPS- Cooper_v1.0.opsBOOT- APBOOT_S5830XXKP8_CL143019_REV03_user_mid_false.tar.md5Phone- MODEM_S5830XXKP8_CL143019_REV03.tar.md5PDA- CODE_S5830XXKP8_CL143019_REV03_user_mid_false.tarCSC- CSC_S5830SERKP8_CL143019_REV03_user_mid_false.tar.md5Pointing these files in Odin completes the configuration part. There is no need to change any other settings. Before proceeding to the next step make sure that Samsung Kies is not running, if so close it.

    Preparing Galaxy Ace for Flash

Remove the SIM card and SD card from the phone. now what you have to do is start the phone in download mode. To do this, while you are switched off press and hold the following buttons in sequence.Middle Menu Button+ Power Button+ Down Volume Buttom. Make sure you do not disturb the sequence. Else other modes may come up. Once the phone boots in download mode the phone setup is ready.

    Flashing Galaxy Ace with Gingerbread

Now connect the phone to your computer using data cable. You will find some drivers installing and Odin will automatically identify connection com port. Ensure that the data cable is fixed properly so that connection is not lost in between the process. When all the above things are done, Click on the start button. Wait till the process gets over. You can see process status at left hand corner of Odin. The phone will be restarted automatically and will take bit time to finally start with Gingerbread. The default language of this Firmware is not English, if you want to change it to English, go to settings and select the fifth last option. There you can select the language of your choice.

every thing like rooting etc. can be done same as in others

    enjoyyyyyy

  • Ric RAT

  • This version of android is best on our Galaxy Ace.

    Screenshots :

Its too hard to take screenshots in this version of Android.

In 2.3.4 we used to take screenshots via Home + Back button

but now in 2.3.5 its via Home + Power button.

All I can say is better than Cyanogen Mod 7 2.3.7

Its not buggy at all. Smooth Performance like butter.

Ram usage is high in this Android 2.3.5 because its Android

2.3.5. But don't worry battery backup is good.

HD gaming is good too. Every version of Android fixes

    new problems.

This version is Latest "XWKS9" and Android 2.3.5

    How to Install?

    This version is single package.

    * First you have to fall back to unofficial 2.3.4 Gingerbread tutorial here

    * Now download Android 2.3.5 here , Extract it password is - samfirmware.com

Now Open Odin v4.38.exe which you got with unofficial 2.3.4.

Press OPS on Odin and Locate "Cooper_v.1.0.ops" which you got with unofficial 2.3.4

    FirstUA ROM For Galaxy Ace

  • Saturday, November 12, 2011
  • Ric RAT

  • I don't know exactly but It looks similar to cyanogen mod.

Developers named it FirstUA Custom Rom for Ace.

I flashed it to my phone and it rocked but not too much impressive because still no flash player support.

This ROM is for ROM Seekers who always wants new ROM to flash on their ace.

I dislike the boot image as cyanogen mod  because I like the old Samsung image on start up boot.

Touch Wiz 3.0 replaced with Go Launcher Ex so you can use custom themes.

If you want good themes like iPhone theme than go to market and type "Azooz" and you will get best themes.

If you want touch Wiz 3.0 back than tell me.

    ROM is super Fast.

    No major bugs.

    So foreplay starts here:
First If you are not running KPH ROM than upgrade to android 2.3.4 here

     Now download this files:

    Put both in SD card.

Now start Your Galaxy Ace in Maintenance Mode.(Shut off Phone, Press Power + Home button together till phone boots)

Scroll down with volume buttons to apply update from SD Card by pressing home button.
Now you will see your SD card folders. Select CF-Root-S5830-v3.7-b79_recovery.zip

    Reboot.

When phone reboots, Factory Reset it, but don't format SD card.

When Factory Reset is done again start phone in Maintenance mode, apply update from SD card and select FirstUA-Rom-V1.0_without_warez.zip

It will take some time to update. Then reboot.

    VOILAAA.............

    My as* is updated.

Developers Released an Update If you want to update than
    download this file:

    ROM V1.2

After Download put it in SD card.

Just start your as* in Maintenance Mode, apply update from SD card and select "FirstUA-ROM-V1.2"

    Update takes some time. Reboot.

This update is more stable and fast with updated Go Launcher Ex.

And Kies Air is included (OTA) Over the Air Update.

But update can only be applied after flashing first ROM.

If you want to update to official gingerbread than you have to first use unofficial 2.3.4 (which I gave earlier) KPH ROM.

    OK here we go:

Only unofficial 2.3.4 can do my steps.

    * Remember no data or apps will be deleted so no need to worry.... XD

    - First switch off phone (No need to remove SD card, Sim card) because nothing will be erased.

    - Now start phone in download by press (Power + Home + Volume Down) till phone shows (Downloading...)

    - Now download Official Gingerbread Firmware India Here
    - Download Odin 4.38 here
    - Download Cooper.ops here

Now you must have Samsung Kies Installed and Kies must be closed or you will get error (Unable to open USB port)

    - Open Odin 4.38
    - Click OPS and Located cooper.ops you downloaded.
    - Tick one package.
Now extract firmware you downloaded you will get two files don't delete any.
    - Now click One package and locate "S5830DDKQ5_S5830ODDKQ5_S5830DDKQ5_HOME.tar"

    - Click start and wait 5 minutes now your phone will reboot with official India Firmware and VOILA...
no apps are deleted. But for Best results Factory reset your phone for first time (It's your Wish).

Now you are using more smoother, Stable and faster ROM than Ever. (All other ROM are pile of Shi*s and unstable) I just love this firmware by Samsung than any other firmware.

    Read everything before asking anything.

Take a quick Nap till its getting Installed. (Zzz)

Again Select "Install zip from SD card." Locate The Fixes and Install it.

    Reboot after CM7 gets Installed.

(Caution :- Your phone will not get bricked)
