Nokia 900 Lumia Review
Lumia Nokia 900. While the Apple iPhone OS and Android with Samsung and HTC were growing faster and faster, Nokia was trying to regain lost market for a long time due to falling Symbiam, operating system, which left users dissatisfied.
For this, the company received support from Microsoft, who were responsible for placing the new system, Windows Phone, in most new Nokia smartphones. The result was pretty good, sales slowly began to rise and although still in crisis, the future looked positive for the manufacturer in Finland.
Currently, the company has just launched its new smartphone Nokia Lumia 900, which after its predecessors the 710 and 800 to win over mobile users, it was expected that this will become one of the most popular in the world. However, the result was not expected because just as there are people who gratified, there are other yet to be convinced to use it.
To give you an idea of what the new, larger mobile bond between Nokia and Microsoft, we bring you an interesting review that should not stop reading.
Features of the Nokia 900 Lumia
Design:
The design is really beautiful, it seems to have a screen over, but the thin device is displayed all together. A side has silver buttons used to take photos, upload, download and other actions.
Its size and rectangular shape make it fit very well in our hands, besides being very light and fresh. Measures 2.7 inches wide by 3.5 inches from top to bottom, and when to 0.45 inches thick.
We will see a small speaker in the bottom of Lumia 900, plus a headphone jack, a micro USB port, and the top of the card on top that can be hard to get and put, but once you get close it you will not realize that there is a slot. On the right side find the buttons above for volume, power / sleep and for the camera.
Although the new Nokia 900 Lumia design resemblance to other models launched by the company, we can safely say that this is only smartphone also has a design that combines futuristic, retro touch with Nokia .
Display:
The Lumia 900 has a 4.3 inch screen, 800 x 480 AMOLED "ClearBlack". Unlike Lumia 800 and N9, the screen is a little higher on the device, rather than to the same line as the smartphone.
It also has a 1 megapixel camera that sits on top of the screen, and her 8-megapixel camera with dual LED flash and the famous Carl Zeiss optics on the back of the phone.
Despite being pretty good the screen, colors may notice a bit saturated, we suggest to change the subject in Windows Phone with one that best meets our eyes. In this way, we avoid the constant use of the system design with colors that projects the AMOLED screen we disturb the view.
The resolution is good enough. However, there are other devices that may surprise and attract the market. We are not saying the 900 Lumia has a bad screen, rather it is one of the best but maybe not the one expected from Nokia
Camera:
I know, Nokia has always been the handset maker that has taken account of the cameras, first with the incursion of its renowned Carl Zeiss and now with the upcoming smartphone that would no more and no less than 41 megapixels.
However, the camera that has brought us to the Nokia Lumia 900, despite having 8 megapixels, it's not really what we expected. And we have seen improvements in Android phones and even the iPhone to this device.
Also, if you take pictures in a pretty clear you will notice that the camera will automatically put a half orange color center, which certainly will not like at all.
You can do many things with your Lumia 900, but taking good photos great and not one of them.
Performance:
It's really amazing how long the battery in Lumia 900 can hold, the truth is that it is sufficient to achieve a full working day without having to worry about, how in the other smartphones, the battery will be discharged soon.
According to Nokia, the battery can be up to 7 hours talk time. Even today, people do not spend much time on a call, but it was observed that the user can go to Twitter, Facebook and answer emails, even from an LTE connection, realizing that your battery has not been spent almost nothing.
Phone calls are really clear and crisp, unlike perhaps even may sound a little strong for those who are sensitive to sounds, but at least you will not have any problems when making a call.
On the other hand, the system is quite fast, so it will not crash your smartphone or have to wait to move from screen to screen in Windows Phone never too much.
Software:
We could not fault the system, Windows Phone really is good, but despite having an interesting design, attractive icons and quite fast, has no point of comparison with IOS or Android.
The main reason is simple, Windows Phone you can only change the theme that the company has designed for you, ie you can not customize the system as you would with other devices. This means that even with good software, at a time when everyone wants to personalize their smartphones, the system really does not convince us too.
Perhaps one of the things we do not like is that Microsoft has an agreement with other companies such as ESPN and CNN, which probably have managed to install their applications highlighting among others.
Among the known applications that come in the team is the Nokia Drive, Maps, Transit and transfer contacts. Its app store is still somewhat empty compared to the App Store and Google Play.
News:
We will have the latest version of Windows Phone, the famous "Mango" or 7.5, which has many more features than previous systems as an improvement on Xbox Live, Internet Explorer 9, integration of multiple tasks and improved home screen.
It will be a 4G LTE mobile and will have WiFi connectivity, plus USB 2.0, Bluetooth 2.1 and GPS. We also find the chip Snapdragon single-core speed of 1.4GHz, 512 RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
Conclusions:
Although no other major features such as smartphones, we can say it's worth buying for its specifications and tools, as only $ 99 you can not get a better mobile device.
Nokia has provided us with a phone with a good platform, but still too immature to compete in the big leagues. All you have to expect the union between Microsoft and Nokia is that the smartphone will be remembered as one of the most interesting, but perhaps not the most popular or sold.
Unfortunately there is a field of very strong competition among smartphones. Thus we have the possible upcoming launch of Samsung S III and the rumors of an iPhone 5 , a Lumia Nokia 900 only comes to show us and tell us that the company is not dead nor is bankrupt, on the contrary, this is a sign that each day the Finnish company is growing faster and recovering from the storm that went through.
